Don’t worry if you don’t see the new design as soon as you open Google Calendar. You will need to click on a button that reads, ” Use new Calendar,” and you’ll be taken to the new design. Once you’re there, you’ll be able to enjoy the following goodies.

Where to Find the Recycling Bin

If you accidentally erase the wrong option, Google Calendar will show you all your erased events in the order you deleted them. They will remain in the trash for thirty days and will be permanently removed after that time. To access the trash bin, click on the cog wheel and click on Trash.

You should see all your deleted events, and at the top right an arrow pointing left. That arrow is the option that will help you recover the deleted events. First, choose the activities you want to recover, followed by the arrow button. If you want to remove the events permanently, click on the Trash icon.

One of the many things you may have found annoying about Google Calendar was the issue with links and formatting. You needed to ask the other person to copy and paste the links, and they may not have done it. The new links you add will now be opened in an Event Detail window with a new design.

Refreshed Contact Info

Google Calendar now makes it easier to see info on other people that will be attending the event. You can view contact information from within the app by merely placing the cursor over the contact you want.

View Various Calendars Side by Side

Your calendar would be a total mess if you cramped everything you have to do into just that one calendar. To keep things organized, you may have a work calendar, a personal calendar, and a calendar for your kid’s stuff.

Multi-calendar management is nothing new, but it was a colossal mess to look at before. Now, by viewing your tasks in Day view, you can neatly see everything you have for that specific calendar. Hopefully, you didn’t plan two tasks at the same time.

Adjust the Density

You can now adjust Google Calendar so it can either be responsive to your screen or compact. You can also use the color set option to either make the calendar text black or white.

Conclusion

These may not be the most revolutionary features, but they are a sight for sore eyes. Google has brought some much-needed changes to their calendar app. Hopefully, this won’t be the end of the features Google has in mind to bring to the app. What other features would you like to see in Calendar?
