1. Poweradd Pilot Pro

The Poweradd Pilot Pro packs a 32000 mAh battery into an enclosure roughly the size of an iPad Mini. That being said, it is significantly thicker by about an inch. The Poweradd Pilot Pro comes equipped with two 5V USB charging ports and a single DC output for computers. The unit comes with ten different laptop connectors which Poweradd claims work with “99%” of the laptops on the market. Of course, be sure to check that your machine is compatible if you’re thinking about purchasing. In addition, the Poweradd Pilot Pro allows users to charge multiple devices simultaneously. Furthermore, there is a digital display window that enables users to monitor how much juice the power bank has left in real time. While the Poweradd Pilot Pro is one of the more affordable options, there is one major downside. The unit requires a separate proprietary charger in order to charge the power bank itself. This means that in addition to the battery, you’ll have to lug the charger around if you want to top it up.

2. Maxoak 50000

This power bank has a battery so big that manufacturer MaxOak didn’t even feel it was necessary to give it a name. With a whopping 50,000 mAh battery, the MaxOak 50000 is one of the largest capacity power banks available. The MaxOak 50000 features six output ports, all of which can be used simultaneously. Outputs include one 20V/3A for laptops, one 12V/2.5A, two 5V/2.1A quick charge USB ports and two 5V/1A standard USB ports. The 12V/2.5A output is the odd one of the bunch, but you may find it useful if you hit the road in an RV. The MaxOak 50000 comes with fourteen different laptop connectors, so it’s safe to say finding one to fit your laptop won’t be an issue. Additionally, the unit uses a lithium-ion ploymer battery rated for 1000+ recharge cycles. As we’ve come to expect, the unit features LED indicators to display the remaining power level. Measuring 8.1″ x 5.3″ x 1.3″, the MaxOak is only slightly larger than other laptop powerbanks. However, at 2.77lb, it is one of the more cumbersome on the market.

3. DBPOWER Laptop Power Bank

The DBPower Laptop Power Bank is one of the more affordable options on the market at less than $100. That being said, the capacity of this unit is fairly modest at 26,400 mAh. This unit is a little different in design compared to the others we’ve mentioned so far, due to the fact that it opts for a full-sized AC outlet to power laptops. This means you don’t have to worry about compatible connector tips. The downside is that you have to lug around your laptop’s original charger. Of course, the advantage of having an AC outlet is that it makes the unit versatile. Users can power any electronic devices up to 80W (hair dryer, projector, drone). Living “off the grid” doesn’t mean having to abandon creature comforts. In addition to the AC outlet, the DBPower Laptop Powerbank features two 5V/2.2A USB charging ports. Furthermore, it supports simultaneous USB and AC charging.

4. RAVPower USB-C Power Bank

If you have a laptop that charges via USB-C, look no further. The RAVPower USB-C Power Bank is designed specifically for USB-C devices from Macbooks to the Nintendo Switch. Packing a 26,800 mAh battery, this unit is capable of delivering up to 30W of power, which is the same as an original AC Macbook charger. Note: be sure to check your device to ensure that it does not draw more than 30W. If it does, this powerbank is not suitable for your device. In addition, the RAVPower USB-C power bank features two 2.4A USB charging ports. Furthermore, the unit’s battery can be recharged via the Type-C port in just four to five hours. A stark contrast to the standard fourteen-hour recharge time.

5. Jackery PowerBar

The Jackery PowerBar is similar to the DBPower Laptop Power Bank mentioned above, as it uses a standard AC outlet to power computers. Where it differs is its form factor. The Jackery PowerBar crams a respectable 20,800 mAh battery into a fairly small package. Measuring 6.5″ x 2.5″ x 2.5″ and weighing only 1.5 lbs, it’s one of the smallest and lightest laptop power banks on the market. However, just because it’s small doesn’t mean it doesn’t pack a punch. The PowerBar is capable of delivering a whopping 85W of power. In addition to the AC power outlet, the PowerBar also features three 5V 2.4A USB charging ports.
